Typically when you have a logo created, your designer will provide the color profile versions for each of your logos. The best designers will provide a minimum of 7 color variations. You should get black and white (grayscale), CMYK color (print), and RGB (Screen) versions of your logo for both dark and light backgrounds, and the last variation should be an app/web icon for your logo.
